Best of…

I know it’s a little weird to challenge someone else’s “Best of…” list, but we’re making an exception. Only because Gia Kourlas got creative with her categories and came up with one we had overlooked, but would totally have added if we had thought of it.

Kourlas’ tenth entry was “Best thing to do at the library,” which she gives to NYPL for the PA for their restoration of the filmed version of “Don Quixote.”

Well, actually, the best thing to do at the library this year was…

Being able to play a piano prepared according to John Cage’s instructions at NYPL for the PA’s “Invention: Merce Cunningham & Collaborators” exhibit. It was a life-changing, once in a lifetime experience, and we got to touch something!
