Environmental Documentary: The New Horror Flick

Last week, Manohla Dargis at The Times reviewed “The 11th Hour,” the new DiCaprio driven documentary seemingly aimed at pounding the green message into our head until it stops being a momentarily inspired do-good light bulb, and becomes a sound, responsible impetus to change the way we live with the environment.

Dargis is self-aware enough to remind readers to recycle the newspaper when they’re done reading the review. No word though about what we on the internet are supposed to do with our monitors once we’re done reading.

Then there’s this funny little afterthought of a warning: “The 11th Hour” is rated PG (Parental guidance suggested). It has freakily scary environmental images.

Damn. That must be some sick shit. But it can’t be any worse than having to look at the natural disaster that is [insert most current pop cultural reference here].
